Users review: They are coming! They are coming! were the words he said Tippi Hedren at the end of the coming attractions trailer for Alfred Hitchcocks 1963 film Bird. And boy did they come when the film opened. It's a scary story about what could happen if our fine feathered friends, including men. Birds, like Master Suspenses 1960 masterpiece Psycho, has the ability to give people the creeps. I found the bird just a tad under Psycho (started a little slow), but it's still very scary movie. It has good acting with Tippi Hedren (in the role of the most famous), Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy (26 years ago Driving Miss Daisy), Suzanne Pleshette and Veronica Cartwright (16 years before the foreign person). Plus a stunning visual special effects, and possibly scary sound effects I've ever heard. Sound effects only gives me the creeps. And it has its share of funny moments throughout. Bird is classic Hitchcock. If you like a good horror movie made with the story being told, then you will love this one. *** 1/2 (out of four)
